Study On Landscape Planning And Design Strategy Of Water - Sensitive Urban River Wetland Park

Impacted by the rapid urbanization and global climate change, urban water problems in China have become an increasingly prominent. As a major ecological, landscape, economic, social and cultural corridor, river in urban city is facing even more severe problem like water pollution, frequent drought and flood, river canalization or landfill, deterioration of ecological environment and the sharp decline in bio-diversity. The newly released Action Plan of Water Pollution Prevention in 2015 has including clear goals and improvement requirement targeting to water conservation, pollution control, and water management of China seven major river valleys. Based on this background, the construction of river wetland park is not just to provide a place for entertainment of citizen, it requires more comprehensive instructional strategies to improve the water quality, restore ecosystem, rebuild river wildlife habitats etc. The purpose of this essay is to use landscape to help guide comprehensive management of urban river by building river park and other multiple strategies that suit with city construction.This essay coming up with landscape strategies of wetland park of water sensitive city to guide the comprehensive management of city river. It adopts a combination of interdisciplinary methods like city planning, landscape, ecology, project and architecture to carry the literature review of theory and practice for water-sensitive city and the river wetland park. Secondly, it analyze the water sensitivity of each projects by using three typical wetland parks, the Bishan Ang Mo Kio Park in Singapore features in restore natural riverbanks, the Buffalo Bayou in Huston features in regional storm management and the Cheonggyecheon in Seoul of Korea features in urban river restoration. The essay comes up with 5 strategies of wetland park of water sensitive city including flood control and river security, integrated approach to protect river quality, restore natural habitat of wildlife and embankment, coordinate river park and community development and to build up river wetland park to stimulate economy development. Using these strategies, this essay targets to guide the construction of Si river in Zheng Zhou by combine the study of river planning with regional river park, to solve the sewerage pollution from nearly surrounding, water purification,construct of river habitat, leisure activity in community and economic development boosted by tourism, to solve the recycling paradox of economic development and the natural ecological of modern city, to build up a wetland park that combines ecology, entertainment and science education.The essay will effectively promote the construction of new river wetland, play a positive role for water resource management, and build up urban ecological civilization.
