Aviation safety has been a hot issue with much attention. Safety of aviation is protected bythe normal operation of airport equipment and the correct command from staff. Detecting runningstate of equipment and fault warning can detect problems in order to possible trouble.At night or in other low visibility such as fog and haze and other inclement weatherconditions, runway edge lights can indicate the width of the runway to the pilot, the pilot therebydetermining safe landing sites. The system uses a way with combination of hardware and softwareto design and implement. System design phase through the framework design, logic design anddetailed design.Workflow of the system are as follows: software platform by sending a command to detectthe state of the runway edge lights, using a wireless or wired network communication instructionsto reach the target device; the target device after it gets a state detection command statusinformation back to the software platform through the network; software for analyzing the statusinformation feedback, which select the most valuable part, in order to determine whether theequipment is in good condition; to determine the fault of the device information is displayed onthe software platform, based on feedback from the user information content of the correspondingequipment maintenance, to ensure the normal operation of the runway edge lights when in use.Status detection is in order to discover the existence of security risks, just like finding theproblem; and fault warning is notice problems to the relevant staff, just like reporting the problem.Synergy between the two in order to protect the normal operation of the runway edge lightssystem to avoid system damage caused by a major accident without timely repair. The system notonly detects status of the runway edge lights and fault warnings, but also uses technique of datamining for data analysis. Aiming through the existing historical data to predict future device status,making the probe into a predictable to improve work efficiency. In the building of the networkusing a combination of wireless and wired way, both with each other as the backup program toensure the quality of information transmission.In the process of design and realize the system takes several aspects such as correctness,security, stability, ease of maintenance and so on into consideration to ensure high accuracy results.The paper describes in detail the system design and development of hardware and software madefor the details of the instructions. From the perspective of risk aversion, the system has certainpractical significance to improve airport safety of aviation.
