Application Of Montage 's Technique In Interior Space Design

More than one hundred years ago, the birth of film made time and space—the two eternal concepts unified in the field of art for the first time. Soon, the design of architectural space went into the film, that is, scene design in the movie. From the logical relations, the author thinks that the movie’s development promoted the architectural space design, which makes the virtual architectural space design in the “image field” develop fast and surpass the architectural space design in reality. Therefore, from this point of view, architecture and film can be linked together. At the same time, Film art also gives the architectural space "image" the special significance.This thesis consists of five chapters: using the Montage as starting point, first, I analyze the concept, types of the Montage, and its artistic effect, sum up the qualities of both the interior space design and the films art, and find out the similarity between them, research the referential about Montage of interior space design.Second, I induce the Montage used in interior space design in order to study. At last,I demonstrate some cases about interior space design and summarize.Throughout the development of film art, the technique of the Montage has formed a complete set of theoretical system. However, it is difficult to find a similar system in the architectural space design. Thus, it may inspire the designers to apply the system of the Montage to the architectural space design.The first level of my dissertation researches lies in introducing the techniques of Film Art into the interior space design, summing up the new thinking of the space design under the effect of montage and expanding the new horizons in the interior space design of the future. The second level lies in exploring the interdisciplinary researches among more different art sciences, such as finding out more intersections between Film Art and environmental art design, to achieve more theoretical breakthroughs and technical innovations between the two subject areas.
