Water is the important basis for the formation and continuation of the life style of human settlement.. Since the beginning of the agricultural civilization and the development of human society is can not get away from the water, through the waterway for transporting large quantities of goods, use of water as an energy source for agricultural production, utilization of water flow away, dilution and degradation in human life and production process generated waste material, and water as good defensive barrier, constitute an important urban development boundary. Living in the water is the basic law of human society in the formation of the environment. In many large cities in China there is a beautiful story related to water, here is a unique geographical features of the humanities and historical stories from generation to generation. Due to water the familiarity and cognition, on the edge of the waterfront line appeared in the water transport in the history of important transport hub of the wharf, in its drive economy rapidly developing and growing, where the city also because of its formation and can appear and leap development with height of the core competitiveness of the region, which led to the development of the region economy, logistics and tourism industry. In the famous port city, the terminal is the fundamental sources they rise, so the pier has a to represent the city’s personality characteristics and culture of tolerance, wharf and urban development is the integration of, and with the people’s growing material needs and non-material needs, for the dock area and the waterfront has great function demand, one of the diversified design requirements, for waterfront landscape is top priority, by the construction of the whole landscape of the port landscape also need to continue to improve, as far as possible to create sustainable development of ecological landscape, improve the urban competitiveness and as a social product of the value. But since the industrial revolution in modern times industry rapid development and urban transition expansion makes the docks area economic growth year after year and promote regional prosperity and development, but also to the wharf brought enormous pressure and the original natural ecological severely damaged, so that the wharf in efforts for the city to benefit and lost its own characteristics. Due to the increase in transportation, the original city’s Wharf moved to the boundaries of urban waters, leading to the old terminal’s vitality recession; also due to no management, terminal environment gradually deteriorated. But all this did not seem to have attracted people’s attention, in the dock area renovation and remodeling, tend to ignore its own characteristics in the planning and design does not consider regional natural and cultural implication, advocate blindly do stereotyped replication design, resulting in the disappearance of the coastline scenery. Therefore this paper on mining exploration and puts forward the solution and in the city terminal regional planning, landscape ecology and Habitat Environmental Psychology multi angle and multi discipline were analyzed. According to the related theories on the regional port cultural landscape planning and design of remodeling of new ideas, new point of view.
