Reservoir engineering is one of the widely used measures of flood control, flood storage reservoirs can be constructed in an appropriate position upstream of the river, storing flood storage capacity utilization, reducing in peak flowing into the downstream river, achieving flood control functions and much water in the flood season. Reservoir hydrologic telemetry and widely used in large gate control system, cascade reservoirs, limiting funds and personnel training level, small and medium-sized reservoir mainly depends on artificial observed hydrologic data and control way of the gate, limiting by the low degree of automation,it can’t set up dynamic limited water level to avoid reservoirs out of reach the intended target at the end of flood season. Dynamic limited water level in the reservoir by the application of except by history data, geographical environment, withstanding risk ability and the theoretical calculation, the hydrologic data monitoring precision and the reliability of the gate control also affect one of the main aspects of its application.In this paper, the actual project site proposed reservoir small reservoirs for water data acquisition and automatic gate control system, integrated hydrological data monitoring subsystem, automatic gates and alarm subsystem control subsystem. The Siemens S7-200programmable logic controller PLC as control core, through the force of the Ethernet protocol and the upper computer ForceControl V6.1to establish the communication connection.S7-200PLC from standing by their own PORTO communication port with the terminal to realize the Modbus communication, intelligent instruments to monitor the gate status, to make it safe and reliable operation. Hydrologic data remote monitoring station through GPRS protocol and PC communication connections, data acquisition circuit will read the data from the water sensor data through GPRS DTU transmitted ForceControl V6.1, convenient for staff to master the various reservoir hydrologic data accurately. PLC achieved the communication with force control configuration software by adding Ethernet module CP243-1, the ForceControl dealt with and analyzed the data which is passed by PLC in order to reflect the state of the gate as a result, important parameters will be displayed in the interface and early warning information will be prompted too, protection function and breakdown self check function will start when the signal parameters are abnormal in the running process, reaching the remote to control to the precise gate; if it monitors to the hydrologic data exceptions, such as the situation of the reservoir water level more than a cordon, PC will send signal to S7-200PLC via Ethernet; PLC will call subroutine to write command that has been defined beforehand through Modbus to sends a string of data to the alarm circuit, alarm which will compare the data after the data validation passed validly, it will send alarm messages to the manager through GSM module, making the reservoir in the condition of safe operation, and providing accurate data information for flood control decision maker. Withstanding a certain risk decision makers can accord to the timely and reliable hydrologic data to set up the appropriate dynamic limited water level, improving the capability of reservoir.Paper focuses on the reservoir hydrologic data collection and gate automatic control system running independently and subsystem integration, better achieving the automatic and intelligent. PC read automatically reporting of hydrologic data and reflecting the state of the gate parameters, according to the agreed upon in advance, to intelligent data processing, implementation of hydrologic data, automatic monitoring and gate control, sending alarm messages to constraints, to achieve automatic monitoring of the reservoir, achieving the goal of less humanization.
