The modal parameter identiifcation of building structure is an important part ofmodal analysis. The method of modal parameter identification is divied intotraditional modal parameter identiifcation and modal parameter identiifcation underambient excitation. Unlike traditional modal parameter identiifcation,structure modalparameter identification under ambient excitation only need some ambient excitation’rather than excitation equipment and it desnt interrupt structural normal service. Sothe method of ambient excitation is widely applied in engineering. Therefore, thepaper is focus on researching modal parameter identiifcation under ambient excitation.NEXT-ERA and SSI are effective methods of recognizing the structural modalparameter. In order to veriyf the accuracy and validity of structural modal parameteridentification based on NEXT-ERA, the paper main work is as following:1.Firstly, the paper elaborate modal parameters identification under ambientexcitation importantance in domestic and international engineering research ifelds.Then, the paper summarize some typical modal parametes identification methods andthe advantages and disadvantages.2.Following, we research and systemic demonstrate the theory of NaturalExcitation Technique and Eigensystem Realization Algoirthm method. Then weprogram NEXT-ERA based on MATLAB to identify structural modal parameters.3.The paper focuses on identifying stadium modal parameters identification byMATLAB programming. First,we introduce the structural of stadium and accelerationcollection. What’s more, we identify the stadium modal parameters by NEXT-ERAprogramming and PSD ifgures..4.Finally, using Stochastic Subspace Identification (SSI) method to prove theidentification parameters based on NEXT-ERA true. By comparing the results,we canconclude that the method of modal identification based on NEXT-ERA is appliedwidely in engineering. It can provide theoretical reference for the future stadium andgym research.
