In recent years, the rapid development of water conservancy and hydropower in China, has built many large and medium-sized water conservancy and hydropower engineering, the engineering often has the characteristics of high head, large discharge per unit width, flood discharge energy dissipation problem is more prominent. With the improvement of the economic development of China and GDP growth, people are no longer just stay on the economic benefits as an evaluation standard of water resources and hydropower engineering, but rather to comprehensively consider the effect of hydropower project on ecological environment. Higher requirements on the ecological environment is under construction and the construction of hydropower projects are abandoned pick flow energy dissipation scheme and choose the underflow energy dissipation.Based on the drop of the underflow energy dissipation type is a kind of kinetic energy dissipater can adapt to low head, large discharge per unit width of new type of energy dissipation. But because of the drop, water flow into the stilling basin, the path to get a degree of diffusion, on both sides of the mainstream form vortex and a strong turbulent shear diffusion, will be the mainstream of the high speed away from in the bottom area, effectively reduce the velocity, so based on the underflow energy dissipation type bottom drop flow energy dissipation, high energy dissipation, the stilling basin water stability, the geological conditions of strong adaptability, and the advantages of small water atomization, the energy dissipation tool has a good application prospect.when the water reaches the stilling basin base plate, in the impact area flow impact on the formation floor, all the pressure and velocity in the when it was peak, the stilling basin base plate scour damage is more serious. And impact area is drop underflow energy dissipation work area, the main energy dissipation of hydraulic characteristics study of impact area, floor load calculation, help to improve the drop type bottom flow, service life of the optimization and type of bottom flow drop design it has important significance.This article is based on the national natural science foundation of China (project number:51169008), combined with theoretical analysis, hydraulic model test and numerical calculation method, studied and underflow energy dissipation type drop impact area of hydraulic characteristics, summed up the drop type underflow energy dissipation work area submerged jet axis the semi-empirical formula of maximum velocity attenuation, summed up the bottom flow energy dissipation work impact dynamic pressure calculation formula.
