| This paper used cognitive radio technology in smart grid communications network. For smart grid communications needs, this paper describes a method to be taken to merge the primary user system base station and cognitive user system base station to facilitate smart grid communication user as cognitive user such as smart meter can use primary user’ bands.Because LTE wireless communication network has these requirement, the establishment of orthogonal frequency bands database is required in the shared base station for this method. The database can be called as orthogonal bands database and its’ objects are orthogonal frequency bands what are used to distinguished primary user for primary user system. So idle primary frequency bands can be got by periodically scan the situation of primary user system bands in71.4μs. So these idle bands can be allocated to the cognitive user which are applying for access the primary user’bands. The unique way to get idle primary bands of shared base station is better than spectrum sensing that based on variety of signal detection methods about true probability of detection and range of SNR.When idle bands have been got by that method, so these idle bands must be allocated. Because the period time of that method is71.4μs, the time of idle bands allocation must be in71.4μs. This paper will allocate idle bands by power iteration, the time of idle bands allocation by power iteration is10μs, and the system utility is bigger after idle bands allocation. |
