With the development of the world economy, the energy crisis and the environment pollution are more and more serious. Corn stalks briquettes fuel as an alternative energy can be wildly used with the merits of processing is simple, easy to store and transportation, the raw materials. The main content of this paper is as follows:Firstly, the present situation of utilization of the biomass energy was retrieved.The present situation of utilization of the biomass energy and the research situation of straw compaction molding technology are introduced. Access relevant information was known the forming mechanism, biomass molding machine and the molding process.Secondly, the process scheme of the new molding equipment and optimize is set up.The new molding equipment is designed based on the traditional piston molding machine. The new molding equipment process scheme is put in order to improve the productivity of the rotary compacting machine. Using the optimization theory the parameters of the improved machine was modeled when the input power is constant. The objective function in this optimization problem was to maximize the output tonnage. Equivalently, the problem can be setup to minimize the working cycle of the molding machine. The results show that producing time of the improved machine can reduce 28% compare with the revolving molding machine.Thirdly, the hydraulic system and propose the control scheme of the hydraulic was designed.The hydraulic system of the new molding equipment is designed and the control scheme of the hydraulic is proposed according to the molding principle of the new molding equipment. The series of the integrated PLC HOLLIAS-LEC G3 and the programming software are used to simulate the hydraulic system. The result of the simulation shows that the control scheme of the hydraulic system is feasible.Fourthly, the virtual prototype of the new molding equipment was developed.The three-dimensional model was finished by PRO/E which will provide the theoretical-basis for the solid machine product. The molding machine was designed with two discharge holes. Two products were produced during a working cycle and the production rate was enhanced. The new molding machine has a rotary workbench which has four same die cavities which will make the pre-press stage and the feeding stage start at the same time. The press device is improved so that the press stage and the ejection stage can start synchronously. Fifthly, some molding experimental research and analyses the results were done.The molding experimental research for different biomass material is done used the machine WDW-100. The molding experimental research is done on condition that only one variable changes for one experiment. The variables include the moisture, the speed of the piston, the material, the time for keeping the mold. Some conclusions are got through analyzing the results of the experiment.
