Steel reinforced concrete of special-shaped columns was made configuration of steel, which greatly improved the bearing capacity and rigidity of components, and widely used in high-rise. And steel reinforced concrete was suitable for application in quake zone because of the good ductility and energy dissipation capacity. Steel reinforced concrete special-shaped columns lasted component special-shaped cross-section features, with thick and filler column limb wall thickness, better satisfied the modern society in live requirement. The irreplaceable superiority of special-shaped SRC columns gave themselves the vast development space.Ansys as large commercial general finite element analysis program, former treatment, modeling solving ability, reprocessing and second development showed a strong function. But finite element analysis of SRC Special-Shaped columns was not perfect, especially on irregular section shape, complex steel, and too much unit types. A quick method of finite element model establishment was provided, in order to avoid unit not sharing nodes and differentiate grid error during meshing, which caused by such problems as the model convergence. It shows that the numerical simulation technology presented is feasible and can be applied tofurther research on mechanical behaviors of SRC structures.Nonlinear finite element analysis of twelve SRC (steel reinforced concrete) Special-Shaped columns using the Ansys computer program were conducted and the mechanical behaviors of these columns were analyzed. A series of numerical simulation technologies such as defining material model of concrete and steel, establishing global finite element model with discrete reinforced bars elements and stirrups elements, and methods of post-processing of analysis results were studied. Through controlling the axial compression ratio, shear span ratio, match steel form, loading direction main factors, such as mechanics analysis of component classification comparison and analysis, and optimize the design, get rule.
