Pulsed eddy current technology is the rapid development of a non-destructive testing technology in recent years, and it can be used to detect metal surface and subsurface crack quickly. In the field of non-destructive testing the application of imaging technology can be used to get the location of defects and the size of defects intuitively, which not only improve the efficiency of testing staff but also greatly contribute to the popularity of non-destructive testing technology. With sensor array technology, this paper realizes the pulsed eddy current array probes to the defect of standard aluminum specimen scanning image processing.First this paper introduces the application background and development status at home and abroad of the pulsed eddy current testing technology, and uses the the simulation software of COMSOL to design the 4×4array probe based on the theoretical analysis. In order to achieve the array probesimaging detection of defects on the cross, we designed a pulsed eddy current hardware test platform, which consists of signal modules, array probe, test specimen, signal conditioning modules and data acquisition modules. The detecting signal is processed by low-pass filter and the mean filter, and the signal eigenvalue of imaging is extracted. In the part of defect imaging we use Matlab software and BP neural network to identify the defect signal and achieve the pulsed eddy current array probe for detection of defects in static imaging, and on this basis, we have successfully used LabVIEW software to achieve dynamic imaging on the cross-shaped defects. Finally, the conclusion of this paper is given and some suggestions for the further work of researeh is provided...
