Design And Implementation Of Electrical Control System For Musical Fountain

The paper stems from renovation project of electrical control system for musical fountain in Lanzhou petrochemical college of vocational technology. The purpose of renovation for both sides: First, improving operation stability of musical fountain system; Second, increasing running mode of musical fountain system. For this aim, the renovation project of electrical control system uses S7-200 programmable logic controller, MM430 frequency converter which manufacturing by Siemens company. At the same time, changing original control mode in two ways: One was running in fixed programs, running accord to predetermined steps one by one or cycling. Another was running in musical control, It collects music audio signals through the interrupt program of PLC,then PLC progress the audio signal to standardize operations,and converse the operation data into analog through the analog output of EM235 for the purpose of controlling the inverter's output frequency,thereby pump motor speed can also be controlled to make the level of the fountain water column strength to follow the music rhythm changes. The advantage of this control mode is, musical fountain using both sound, light and shape. So mainly uses in holiday or important activity at school.This article first introduces programmable logic control technology, application and development trend of frequency conversion control technology, then explained transformation background of musical fountain in Lanzhou petrochemical college of vocational technology. As well as overall design scheme, electrical system design, PLC program design, frequency converter parameter Settings for musical fountain control system.The control plan proposed by this article may satisfy needs of many similar control situations, has reference value for general industrial control as well.
