With the development of economics, people has put forward more requirements on HVAC systems .Nowadays HVCA system not only provide a good indoor environment but also focus on environmental protection and energy saving. As HVAC systems are becoming much more complicated and automation systems are gradually perfected. How control strategies can meet people's requirements has become the mainstream of related researches.On the study of optimal control strategy of HVAC system, research and analysis of experiments are required to verify the effect and feasibility of optimal control strategy. In view of the complexity and diversity of HVAC system, actual experiments and measurements on HVAC system are difficult to achieve and uneconomical. Without using any part of the actual system, so simulation system consisting of a rigorous mathematical model is inexpensive. However, some subsystems of the actual system are too complex to establish a credibility model. Compare to real system, simplified mathematical model will also introduce a larger error, thereby affecting the simulation accuracy. With the help of virtual instrument and hybrid simulation technology, we can embed the physical part into the simulation system and replace the corresponding part of the mathematical model to reduce modeling errors and make simulation system more credibility.In this paper, based on the TRNSYS simulation platform, MATLAB, LABVIEW software, digital-analog convertor, analog-digital convertor and other hybrid simulation technology are used to embed the physical controllers into TRNSYS simulation systems seamlessly. The hybrid test platform combined real controllers with mathematical model based on the TRNSYS are set up. Hybrid test platform has the features of customizable graphical control interface, fast modeling and real-time online control.The main works included in this paper are as follows:1) The thermal environment simulation based on TRNSYS is revised and analyzed. The scheme of the hybrid test platform is presented and its features is designed.2) From the point of system, software and hardware , describing development process of hybrid test platform. Emphatically introducing COM, TCP / IP, Modbus, digital-analog and analog to digital conversion technologies.3) Testing and debugging software, hardware part and the whole system to verify the overall performance of hybrid test platform.4) Based on hybrid test platform, a new type of controller is designed and fault diagnoses of HVAC system are carried out. The two application experiments demonstrate the practicality of hybrid test platform.The results show that the function of hybrid test platform meets the design requirements. It operates reliable and stable, and the system error is small enough to achieve the desired requirements. Hybrid test platform can accomplish the tasks such as designing the new type of controllers, evaluating real controller performance and fault diagnosis strategies.
