As people's living standard improves, the demand on human comfort is higher and higher. Humidity has important effect on human comfort. As we know, in hot and moist area the temperature and humidity are both high. The measure of dehumidification is dissipation energy that we frequently used. So it is absolutely essential to search a new technology and this new technology is green, energy-efficient and environment. This paper put forward a new technology of dehumidification. In this technology aerial root of plant is used of. In theory aerial water can be absorbed by plant aerial root, but there is still many problems not solved. This paper mainly study on the following aspects:①There are two kinds of plant aerial root, fresh root and mature root. Their way of absorbing water is different. The mature root is mainly by velamen'absorption and assimilation; the fresh root have two ways to absorb aerial water, the one which morphological is changed by root hair, and the other one which morphological is not changed by infiltration phase transition or condensation.②The plant aerial root can absorb aerial water under certain conditions. Univariate factorial and orthogonal experiment is designed. Through the experiment we find out that, under the experiment condition the fresh root of age 1 do have transpiration and cannot absorb aerial water. The experiment condition is that relative humidity 50%~ 90%, temperature 19 ~25 degree, illumination 150~1000 umolm-2s-1. The function of moisture absorption is closely related with aerial relative humidity and root age. For the fresh aerial root aged 1, the requirement is that relative humidity is more than 98%; for the mature aerial root aged 3, the requirement is that relative humidity is more than75%.③The superficial temperature of aerial root is different from environment temperature. The relation between them is relevant to environment relative humidity, temperature and root age. In this paper Ficus microcarpa is the object studied. Date acquisition instrument is used to measure above temperature. Thermal imaging instrument is used to take photos on all parts of aerial root. The differential between superficial temperature of aerial root and environment temperature is different when the root age is different. For root aged 1 it is 2.33℃, aged 2 1.66℃, aged 3 0.15℃. For the aerial root aged 1, relation among the superficial temperature, aerial temperature and dew-point temperature is like this: dew-point temperature
