Since steam piston engine invented in1784, by a British man, J.Watt, it has been more than 200 years. The technique of engine becomes very mature and very difficult to make a breakthrough.Engine consumes energy very much, but the price of petroleum very high in the international market. China now is a grand importer of petroleum, and the spending performs a heavy burden on the national economy. Since then, any progress of saving energy in engine technique will surely have significant effects on the national economy and the people's livelihood. It is quite certain that developing long length of stroke engine is a good way to save energy.It is also quite certain that reducing friction loss of energy in piston engine operation is another effective way to save energy. That is because of big friction loss in the piston engine movement and the loss is surely of energy waste.One object of this paper is to deeply discuss effective realization of the above two ways.The study method is combining use of mathematic and mechanics, for a effective way to save energy.In the paper, a special cycloid case and conclusion utilized:when a circle turns around in an other circle, which of diameter is 2 times bigger, the movement on the circle is a straight line. Use of this case and conclusion in engine's motion solved the problem which puzzled very much and many years by the society of engineering science and technology,of turning rotation motion into linear reciprocating motion and vice versa. The job is a new creation.In the paper, with use of the study result, electronic control technique development and apply tendency in the automobile industry are also discussed.The two main contribution points in the paper as follows:(1)The study result is able to be directly used to save energy so as to effectively reduce friction loss in piston engine, thus maximally developing effectiveness of saving energy in long length stroke engine.(2)The study result will have much more good effects on engineering of engine electronic controls as electronic controls become easier, theoretical range of which becomes larger, and the optimization of digital operation becomes much easier to be realized than before.
