We are lack of water resource seriously in our nation. With the development of social economy, the difference between water supply and consumption, is becoming more and more large. Especially in city, the water shortage is a hot problem. The water loss in water supply distribution system is not only the loss of precise water resource, but also increase the investment of infrastructure and cost of water treatment. For the precondition of safe water distribution system, we have to solve the serious leakage problem of water distribution systems, which is a difficult problem for water supply industries worldwide. Reducing the amount difference between water supply and consumption, and effective control of leakage have become the important researching purpose for the experts working with water distribution system.So the study of water loss and water loss control,can save the water resource and reduce the cost of water supply. This pragmatic work has both benefits in society and economy.According to components of leakage percentage by International Water Association, the paper can mainly carry through the relationship between physical losses and average pressure in water distribution system based on the idea of Minimum Night Flow and built nonlinear power function. The traditional water balance method in water supply distribution system can not completely reflect effective water sales. The paper ascertains by measuring the quantity of meter error in low flow according to confidence interval. Then,based on the water supply distribution system, grey theory is used to decide the weight of each the affecting factor of the leakage percentage, which means construction, physical loss, meter error, pipe material, pipe age, unauthorized consumption, each factor's weight is combined with its appraisal value to find the most similar samples with the object leakage area by using fuzzy cluster analysis method. With the exception of this, the applicability of gray and fuzzy theory is mentioned.It can have a purpose, planned and focused to improve the management and maintenance level, in orde to reduce the leakage. Finally, based on the other aspects of water supply distribution system leakage control, builting the control point of minimun objective function, can continuous feedback control point to pump station. Analyze preliminary the result according to the model application in S area.The purpose of this paper, is to provide some opinions and propositions and support the water-supply company in technology and pragmatic tools, according to experimental, theoretical and date analysis. The improvement of water loss forecasting , active and project planning, will control the water loss in a reasonable and economic level. This paper is valuable and reference to water loss control work.
