Now, humankind need more and more energy sources even daily , so technology of PV become a new focus . Photovoltaic Inverter, a very important device which is interface of PV Array and power network, decides the system's performance mostly. In order to making the energy got by PV Array transforms to the power network , as the same making sure of the system's stability and precision and reliability , the inverter's circuit topology and the control policy and the selection of the key device of the system must be studied very carefully .Firstly, the status and prospects of PV through out the world will be described and analyzed. And the same time there will be a short introduction of the PV system.Secondly, topology of the PV system will be introduced carefully. The boost module, lying in the system which works independently, is to be analyzed. The differences in control between independently running module and running with the power network module will be studied. After simulation and theoretical analysis, a better control policy will be choose ,that can easily applied in practical engineering applications.Then, by analyzing the output characteristics of solar panels, the biggest concern of the power tracking will be studied. Several typical maximum power point tracking methods are compared in order to establish the actual system requirements for maximum power tracking method - improved disturbance observer method, and analyze and design and experimental results control process are given.At last, the problem of Island Protection will be studied, simultaneously concepts and hazards of Island Protection must make clearly. A appropriate islanding detection method is obtained by comparing the active and passive islanding detection method advantages and disadvantages of islanding detection methods. And summary of this paper and the development prospects of the photovoltaic industry will be given.
