With the rapid development of social economic, Energy and Environmental issues become increasingly acute, and Energy Saving and Environmental Protection have been hot pots in the international society. In the field of Building Environment, in order to improve the performance of Air-conditioning systems, mathemetical modeling technology is applied to them to analyse and reseach their operating conditons by reseachers. For an air-conditioning sysytem, on the project, how its chiller's performance changes is more concerned while its external parameters vary in a certain range, which are the water flow and temperature going through the evaporator and condenser. From the engineering point of view, the essay establishes personalized engineering models of 30HXY water-cooled screw chillers and ACDSHP air-cooled module chillers on the platform of MATLAB, which are used to describe the nonlinear function relationship between the chillers'property parameters (cooling capacity, power consumption and COP ) and 4 external parameters (outlet temperature of cooling water, inlet temperatrue of chilled water, cooling water flow and chilled water flow) .By relative error tests, every chiller's model has high accuracy, meeting actual engineering requirement, can be reliably used in the simulation of chillers while designing Building Environment. From the simulation result on the variation of chillers'COP with external parameters, we conclude that a chiller's COP rises while its inlet temperature of cooling water drops, rises while its outlet temperature of chilled water rises , rises while its cooling water flow and chilled water flow increase, and accordingly we can improve the performance of a chiller by reducing the inlet temperature of cooling water, raising the outlet temperature of chilled water and increasing the cooling water flow and chilled water flow. It provides a reliale and effective analyzing mean for energy-saving designs of chillers and air-conditioning systems .
