Research On The Optimization Of Public Transport Network Of Ningbo

According to the information of traffic construction domestically and abroad, it shows that the fundamental way to solve the urban traffic problems currently is to prioritize the development of public transport. This paper is possible to obtain an optimization method fit for the current situation of Ningbo Public Transport, through extensive reading of the literatures concerned, drawing on the experience of the informed research and combining with the practical situation of Ningbo city, thus finding out weak areas and problem lines of Ningbo's transit network, and exploring the corresponding optimization method to improving Ningbo's transit network.As the research calls for plentiful essential data, two methods, bus investigation and IC card data analysis are required in order to acquire the data of inhabitant trip, and meanwhile to ensure the accuracy and applicability of the research findings. The problems of the Public Transport in Ningbo can be found through the survey of modal split together with the statistical data of local transport and the analysis of the reforms Ningbo city has took, technical performance and the service level.Based on GIS technology, Ningbo bus network has been divided into several traffic zones and by cluster analysis, the weakness of the service will be discovered respectively. Thus found out the situation of transport service in Ningbo. And proposed the corresponding optimization idea for all kinds of weak areas of the bus lines network, improved the service of the traffic zones .The paper selects the line length, non-linear and daily person-time for clustering factor to diagnose the technicality of bus lines of Ningbo city and make analysis of each category to get the problems, which leads to the proposition of optimization method. Thus promoted the technical performance of bus lines.Considering the complexity of the public bus network, we select No.809 to be the typical single line to help the research. Through analysis of road conditions, passenger flow, efficiency, the optimization method of public bus network of Ningbo city can be determined eventually.
