The electrovalence has raised constantly with the increasing cost of power generation, we have to save our time to handle the critical issue and make solution to reduce the loss of the network. The shortage of reactive power is a common phenomenon in the distribution network. We always improve the users'power quality by reactive power compensation. As we all know, the oil field is usually a bulk power user contrasting to others', the reactive power will be seriously insufficient which will correspondingly cause the power quality to be poor and the great loss of the power energy due to the load character in the oil field. In order to handle the problem talked above, a reactive power optimization technology which has been chosen appropriately will be expected to carry on the reactive power allocation in the oil field. So it is of great significance to make out a practical and efficient method to carry on the reactive power optimization.The reactive power optimization system of the local network designed in this paper can be divided into two parts: the main controller and the vice controller. The ratios of all of the main transformers and the on-load voltage regulators in the station of the local network will be adjusted according to the operation data received by the main controller, and the regular order will be simultaneously sent to the vice controller of the reactive power optimization. The ratios'adjustment of the main transformers and the on-load the voltage regulators will be completed by the vice controllers, and this will form a reasonable reactive power flow which ensures voltage requirement of the security and economy in the local network. During the communication interruption of the vice and main controller, the reactive power control strategy will be executed automatically in the station.In this paper, the differential evolution algorithm has been chosen to carry on the reactive power optimization. Genetic algorithm and differential evolution algorithm will be used to carry on reactive power optimization in the Xinsi station of the Shengli oilfield respectively.The consequence has proved that the differential evolution algorithm has certain advantage both in the speed and optimization results.Reactive power optimization of distribution network is based on fast decoupling method and differential evolution algorithm. Considering the system's economy and security and considering the system's real-time flow constraints, the node voltage, power factor and compensation capacity constraints as constraint conditions establishes reactive power optimization mathematical model of oil-field regional network. In this model, the economy and security of system are mutual constraints, so that this optimization model is more practical and better to ensure stable economic operation of power system.
