With the development of oil industry, API round thread due to its structural constraints, can not afford large axial tension, good seal and could not meet the large depth and high pressure requirements; furthermore most of the premium casing threads based on in the API Buttress Casing thread, therefore the research of API Buttress Casing thread is very necessary.This paper making use of ANSYS Workbench software which based on finite element analysis method, set up the finite element model, select the contact type, summary the rule and give the changed reasons of force,contact pressure and gap when API Buttress Casing thread is on only axial stress, make-up torque and axial stress with make-up torque. This paper points that the case should be avoided and give the advice on processing by analyzing 4 kinds of taper; points the affect of tooth depth changing on deformation and contact pressure; reveals that the interference is helpful on improving contact pressure and the Sphere-Cylinder Seal is better than the Cone Seal by comparing the two kinds of sealing types.
