High-precision frequency measurement is widely used in navigation, communication, electronic, celestial, national defense construction and other fields. As the order magnitude of frequency standard becomes higher, the precision of its measurement instrument is required more accurate than before. Therefore, a high accuracy and high stability measurement system is demanded urgently.In this paper, a high-precision time-frequency measurement system is constructed based on the device of Multi-channel Phase Measurement System(TSC MMS). It is used to evaluate the ability of remote monitor and characteristic test through internet for precise frequency souce. Moreover, a corresponding measurement software is self-developed .The main work done are summarized as follows:1. The measurement principal and usage method of TSC MMS as well as the principal of the Duel-Mixer Time-Difference(DMTD) are studied. A method of extending measurement ability of the TSC MMS is proposed. It is able to measure not only phase but frequency and frequency stability. Furthermore, a algorithm is proposed to acquire the frequency and stability by analyzing data output form TSC MMS.2. According to the idea of virtue instrument, a measurement software is designed based on Labwindows/CVI 8.5. This software is able to test the phase, frequency and stability of the signal under tested. It collects and analyses signal and gets conclusion in real-time. In addition, it can display the analyzed signal automatically, graphically and intelligently. The component of the system is modular. The merits of the software are high precision, well human-computer interface and easy operation, compatible and flexible.3. Technology measurement and control through network are studied. It includes remote log-in and remote monitor system. It can implement remote control and remote monitor on the integrity of input signal, which provide a protection for system. Meanwhile, it is able to share resource on internet and conquer distance limitation of traditional measurement. In addition, it decreases possibility of human influence on the measurement. Hence, these all merits contribute the system with mush intelligence, well operation and widely application.4. Constructing system by signal with various frequency. It is used to test, analyse and testify reliablity of the system.The range of measurement system is between 1 to 20MHz. The background noise is less than 2.5E-13 whenτ=1s(ADEV). Moreover, four testing channels are able to extend up to 28 channels if necessary. This system has been adopted in some real measurement experiments. |
