Along with new energy sources power generation systems are enlarging and micro-grid is making progress.The power engergy management is becoming important.So it is necessary to do researches on SC(supercapacitor) engergy storage system which works as an important part of adjusting the power quality. The opportunity to develop in high level is given to the SC engergy storage system ,because of emergency loads and the shortages of bulk grid. Based on the research of Bi-direction DC/DC converter,the transfer among the Buck engergy storage state,Boost's BDC state and standby state is studied in this paper.Firstly,the working principle and characteristic of the SC were analyzed detailedly.Getting parameters for these modes by experiment,then,comparing the voltage waves by charging and discharging in constant current to SC,help make choice of two modes.At the same time,the SC energy storage array was optimized.Secondly,because of the occasion which the SC energy storage system was used,corresponding DC/DC converter was selected to work as the interface between the energy storage system and DC bus.The mathematical models of three woking states were established.Controller of three states was designed to make sure the energy storage having good acting and static performances. A condition to realize the smooth transfer among three states was given.Finally, experimental results of the prototype were studied and compared, and theory analysis was experimentally verified.
