With the exacerbation of the electric power shortage arising from rapid economic development in recent years, lots of new thermal power generation units with large capacity and high parameter have been successionally brought into use. Due to increasing quantity, complexity and large scale of equipment, the maintenance of equipment is becoming more and more important and maintenance cost has become the largest item of expenditure for a power company. It is of significance for the electric power company to reasonably arrange maintenance and minimize costs while keeping equipment always normally working. Sequential inspection, as one of the equipment maintenance mechanisms, has changed the maintenance from maintenance-based to management-based, which eliminates the equipment failure in the embryonic stage by monitoring and mastering equipment condition and has been accepted by companies worldwide ascribed to its excellent performance.The author introduced an information management system of sequential inspection in this thesis. The system was developed to process equipment condition information at the fuel department of Shajiao C Power Station, which is characteristic of massive data and complicated kinds. Using the structure of Browser/Server mode, three information units, namely, workstation, web server/database server and client browser were implemented. Sequential inspection creterion database and process control system were established to acquire, manage and utilize the spot inspection information of the device status. In this system, condition information was divided into qualitative and quantitative information. After the state trend of the spot inspection item is analyzed, the report on equipment faults and staff attendance records can be automatically presented. The system combines the management and monitoring of power plant equipment with the supervision and management of maintenance process to form an integrated web-based information management platform, which includes multiple functions such as technical standards for equipment inspection, working specifications, plan generation, task allocation, record submission, process supervision, information query, state analysis and so on. The result of actual operation shows that the efficiency and accuracy of the equipment spot inspection is considerably improved, that the cost of maintenace is markedly reduced and that the system is characterized by user-friendly interface, easy operation and convenient maintenance.
