The use of ultrasonic motor is increasingly widespread. So the user makes more strict demands for the detection and control of ultrasonic motor. These years, scientists try many methods in the field of speed and torque detection of ultrasonic motor by Weights and dynamometers, which is just in static measurement mode. And all the methods need change the stressing situation of the rotating shaft.Non-contact torque measurement device used in shaft torque detection is an important research direction, which breakthrough development provides more solutions for non-stop, high reliability, high-precision of dynamic torque measurement and the control accuracy of devices measured by non-contact torque sensor is greatly improved at the same time.By analyzing and discussing the design of project instances, the paper puts forward a classification of non-contact torque measurement and selects the method of torque-sensitive materials to solve the problem of torque detection. Below are several achievements made so far :1,Affixing inverse magneto-elastic material on the rotor of ultrasonic motor is an original approach that realizes the non-contact torque measurement of rotating shaft. And it saves much space with the benefit of alleviating the difficulties of implanting torque measuring device inside the ultrasonic motor in the future.2,Based on inverse magneto-elastic effect, an magnetic structure is designed and self-made as well as the data processing and collecting circuit are realized and successfully tested in lab.3,In accordance with the requirement of the torque signal detection device, a series of software programs based on NI—DAQ card and Labview are written and debugged. 4,On the basis of experiments, the torque is successfully detected by using the method of slip average filter. This thesis explores into the application of the non-contact torque measurement for ultrasonic motor, which provides a useful tool for improvement of such kind of detection.
