Recently, progress of China urbanization is becoming faster and faster. A lot of high railway and high way were built. The social development brought us much convenience, but noise pollution of enviroment has influenced people's normal life. In order to give people a comfortable life and work enviroment, noise barrier should be used to reduce noise in the heavy noise pollution area. So, the paper study sound insulation property of sandwich panels and the safety of the sound insulation sandwich panels when they are used in the high speed railway.Firstly,the finite element method was used to simulate the sound transmission loss of two different sandwichs with different thicknesses, then, the experiment data verified the correctness of the finite element method. The resonance frequency of the two different sandwichs with different thicknesses was calculated, and the finite element method verified a large dip in the sound transmission loss curve at the resonance frequency. Secondly, setting the resonance frequency as the boundary, the paper anylysised the reference parameters which have an effect on the sound transmission loss and piecewised fitting formula of sound transmission loss, then let the results compare with the experimental results and verifed the rationality of the formula, providing the initial estimation of sound transmission loss about the sandwich panels for the Engineering Practice. Finally, the paper analysised the flow field generated by the high speed tain. Hydrodynamics software was used to calculate the wind pressure of the sound barrier panel generated by the high speed train with different speed. The numerical results were compared with the results of"Temporary Provision of JingHu High Speed Railway Design". The results showed that the numerical results are correct. Meanwhile, analysised the influence factors of the fluctuating wind pressure, got the formula of the peak value of the fluctuating wind pressure and compared the formula results with the criterion results. The results showed that the formula is correct. The formula provides a method to estimate the fluctuating wind pressure.
