As the development of national economy and the steady advance of modern construction, electrical power has become a kind of core energy for production and daily life of human beings. Power quality has been a focused problem not only for electrical power consumer but also for electrical power company. The key of solving power quality problem is improving the cognition of power grid and power grid data acquisition system is an important tool for understanding the power grid, it is also the core component for the construction of intelligent power grid, therefore, improving the performance of power grid data acquisition system is the premise of solving power quality problem.The structure and characteristic of every part of power system is analyzed systematically, and the work principle of power system is introduced in this paper. The basic model of normal power grid is built in matlab according to the work principle. The simulation model of power quality problem is also built, and the mechanism of power grid fault and control method is simulated too, this paper also proposes a method to distinguish and supervising power quality problem based on signal prediction.The structure and characteristic of power grid data acquisition system are analyzed in detail in two aspects including synchronous sampling and asynchronous sampling, and the mathematical model is deduced. The model of asynchronous sampling system triggered by outside pulses and the model of synchronous sampling system composed of phase locked loop with charge pump which supplies important tool and direct method for analysis of power grid data acquisition system are built respectively.The effects on power grid data from anti-aliasing filter, white noise, clock jitter and AD converter are analyzed according to the model of data acquisition system, the methods of improving the accuracy of power grid data are explained too.The LZW and Huffman compression method are simulated and the effects on lossless ZIP data compression from sampling rate, data quantity, white noise, clock jitter, power quality problem and performance of AD are discussed.The research of this paper supplies theoretical accordance and technical supporting for the performance improvement of power grid data acquisition system, and it is the basis of intelligent power grid construction and power quality amelioration.
