In recent years, extended end-plate connection is widely used as a form of economic and reliable beam-column connection, the research of performance and design method is increasing attention.High-strength bolts for the end-plate connection affect the overall load carrying capacity calculation is a key factor and reasonable to bolt design can improve the mechanical properties of the nodes to improve the utilization of the various components and lower costs.Therefore, study on the the influence of bolt force factors and the simplified calculation method is very necessary.This paper summarizes and analyzes the domestic and international connections of extended end-plate bolts and simplified calculation of stress distribution based on the results, using ANSYS software, three-dimensional nonlinear analysis of the material nonlinearity, geometric nonlinearity, high-strength bolts pre-tension and contact pressure between the end-plate effection. Received an average tensile strength bolt stress, deformation and stress cloud, stress distribution and interface nodes moment-rotation curve, the high-strength bolts extended end plate connection parameters on the mechanical properties of bolts of group.In this paper, several derivative series of end-plate connection model have been designed base on the prototype specimen BASE series. The influences of the bolt diameter, bolt arrangement, end-plate thickness, end-plate stiffener and the form of column joint region were discussed in the bolt tension distribution. According to the bolt force distribution calculation model of the extended end-plate connections at home and abroad, the bolt tension calculation results of three typical end-plate connections were compared with the finite element analysis results. Comparison of the standard value and the difference between finite element results, according to the results of finite element, for our common extended end-plate connections made of high strength bolts bolt pull the improved simplified model.And to BASE-1 specimen, for example, discussion of friction type high strength bolt shear end-plate connections in the distribution of development and change.
