Nowadays, the trip demands are increasing sharply accompanied with the even-fast development of social economy and urbanization. Meanwhile, the calls for a more diversified and complicated public transportation system are steadily on the increase. In this case, urban rail transit has gradually become an indivisible part of the system because of its high frequency, high efficiency and large capacity. As a powerful junction, the rail transit of urban hub always pays attention to the duty of passenger's organization which plays a core mission of its daily operation. At the same time,Passengers play an important role in the daily operation of hubs, and their activities are associated with safety, fluency and activities of passenger-flows' aggregation and evacuation. So it is very important to do certain research on the pedestrians' micro-traffic and the relevant plan on capacity enhancement.According to the data requirement of step frequency, step size, walking speed, the space demand and the way of passengers to go in-and- out of the station, we designed and organized an investigation by video- and- manual observation.Based on large numbers of observed data, we study the characteristics of passengers using different facilities or with the same facility but different position, and got conclusion that normal distribution is the walking speed of passenger displaying. Based on what we have mentioned above, we build passenger individual models, and they are mainly reflecting the relationship between step sizes and step frequency for walkway and so on.Making use of statistic method, on one hand, models for passenger on upward stairway, walkway and downward stairway introduce the relationship of passenger walking speed and space requirement, have been built. On the other, influence factors which affect the choice of individual have been thoroughly analyzed. It demonstrates that passengers'flow has much traffic characteristic when they transit in the railway environment.On the base of these analyses, the paper discuss the flows and best organization plan by considering into hubs, and it also establishes a framework plan about passenger-flows' organization.Finally, the author makes several conclusions and proposes many urgent issues for further research and in-depth study, so as to push the study on passengers in urban rail transit hubs to go further.
