With the rapid worldwide social and economic development, people have enjoyed thebenefits of the Industrial Revolution. However, the deteriorating ecological environment,especially the gradual exhaustion of energy has become an unavoidable issue we have toconfront now. Therefore, the only way to the social and economic sustainable developmentlies to developing energy-saving, environmental protected, low-carbon of renewable energy.As a renewable energy, wind has a better industrial base and more obvious economicadvantage compared with other renewable energy sources. The wind power generationVSCF wind power generation technology is the most popular nowadays, but also animportant future direction of the wind power development.This article focused on the variable speed constant frequency wind power generationsystem in the grid-side of the PWM converter of the research. Firstly, we described in detailin the working principle of four-quadrants from the three-phase voltage-type PWM rectifiercircuit starting model, established a mathematical model of low frequency and highfrequency model. And the grid-side PWM converter control system was designed by thecontrol strategy which was using the direct current control of voltage-current double-loopcontrol.Secondly, the use of simulation software Matlab7.2/Simulink, through theestablishment of model, the grid-side of the PWM converter of the variable speed constantfrequency wind power generation system was simulated, analyzed at different wind speeds,the grid-side of the PWM converter's working conditions, and the simulation results give adiscussion and analysis. As a result, the simulation model constructed and the theory isfeasible and correct.Also,the grid-side of the PWM converter to the hardware design. According to thesystem's performance requirements, I completed the selection of the DSP and other electronic devices, and a complete grid-side converter control circuit and main circuit of theschematic design.Finally,introduced its software realization, and combined with spacevector pulse width modulation (SVPWM) algorithm, illustrates the way of pulse generation.
