Retaining wall is a common retaining structure to prevent subgrade filling or hillside collapsing. However soil nailing wall was rapid popularized and used in the soil mass excavation and slope stability etc engineering field as a kind of new typed flexible active support model, because its economic reliable and construction quick and easy. Especially after the "5.12" earthquake, a lot of slope hazards were induced, the collapse and landslides that caused by slope disasters became the main factors blocking the traffic. But the survey found that many of the slopes which supported and anchored by flexible retaining structure are still standing and normal using, it has left us many problems to think about. Therefore, it is necessary to research the active earth pressure calculation method of supporting structure under the action of earthquake. In this paper, the calculation method of seismic active earth pressure of the slope supported by soil nailing is researched, proposing the new idea and calculation method and verifying the practicability through the engineering application. The main contents and research achievements of this paper is:â‘ the calculation of earth pressure of soil nailing retaining structure under seismic action is a complex problem, whose method is still not mature and conservative. In order to calculate the active earth pressure of soil nailing retaining structure under seismic action accurately and reasonably, the seismic active earth pressure model is established, in which the sliding surface is regarded as a plane, and the calculation formula of the seismic active earth pressure and the most dangerous sliding surface are deduced, considering the influence of the role of soil nailing retaining structure on the earth pressure, based on the energy method and limit equilibrium method;â‘¡combined an engineering example, the results coming from the above formula are compared with those coming from the existing norms and calculation method, and parameter analysis is carried out;â‘¢then some practical results are obtained. Analysis shows that the earth pressure values according to the formula are smaller than other methods, the existence of soil nails can effectively reduce the lateral pressure of supporting structure under the earthquake effect and make the sliding surface slowly to move to the wall back;â‘£Finally, the aseismatic design done for four different height soil nailing wall to make sure the length of soil nailing under seismic action after sliding surface changed, and compared with the length of considering the earthquake effect.Through an example, the calculation method of considering soil nailing role is more reasonable and agrees well with the actual engineering, which can provide some valuable references for the construction, optimization and anti-seismic design of soil nailing retaining structure.
