Hydraulic Turbine is an energy-recycling appliance, which transforms the pressure energy of the fluid into the mechanical energy of the turbine through the rotating of the impeller. The hydraulic turbine can recycle as much as 70 ~ 80% of the total fluid energy, and can be used in the case of high pressure difference, and stable little-capacity technological processes. Hydraulic turbine can drive power generator, can also directly drive a working machine as an engine to compress air, or other material gases. It is very valuable to recover the above residual energy with the hydraulic turbine. The hydraulic turbine is the key component in the energy saving system of a factory, and it is the core equipment of circular economy advocated much. With the enhancement of energy saving consciousness from all walks of life, and the more and more attention on renewable energy utilization, the hydraulic turbine will take a more important part and be applied in more areas as a good energy recovering appliance.Presently, as far as we know, the energy recycling efficient of the hydraulic turbines in various enterprises is good. The reliability of the domestic turbines is insufficient, the imported ones are widely used in large chemical fertilizer enterprise. As the increase of the energy prices, many enterprises in the petrochemical, petroleum processing, chemical fertilizers, seawater desalination, etc, highly increase the investment on the research of energy recovery technology to save resources and to enhance its competitivenes. So it is significant to develop a set of energy recovery device having simple structure, high efficiency, stable reliability based on the principles of vane hydraulic machinery. On the one hand, it is a contribution for energy saving & emission reduction programme and the construction of a resource saving society; on the other hand, the research on the hydraulic turbine design theory is an important supplement for the hydraulic machinery design theory.The main work in this paper are:1) Reference double-suction centrifugal pump structure types,by franc turbine runner design as the basis, in a given parameters with different design method respectively (the unary theory design method, the dual theory design method) design hydraulic turbine runner which structure is similar to double-suction centrifugal pump runner, and establish the hydraulic turbine runner three-dimensional model and other flow components three-dimensional models. 2) Using CFD software and standard k ?εturbulence model, using water as medium, under the optimal opening degree, with three kinds of operating points, simulating steady turbulent flow through the whole flow passage of hydraulic turbine model that initial designed by two different design method, By analyzing the internal three-dimensional flow mechanism and predicting the performance of hydraulic turbine runner, analysis its flow pattern and flow field distributions. According to the simulation results, then unite CAD technology, the initial design runner has improved on many times, eventually get the wheel model which has good hydraulic performance. Also verified that the wheel structure is feasible and reasonable.3) The improved runners are simulated at different operating points, analyze and compare the internal flow condition of designed runners that designed by two different design method, find out appropriate design method of hydraulic turbine runner, so as to provide the reasonable and reliable basis for the design method of hydraulic turbine runner.
