With the scale of power grid is bigger, the fault diagnosis system of power network is becoming more and more important for grid security. The fault diagnosis system which can practice in work is paid more attention.The secondary information needed by the fault diagnosis system is primarily get by analysis grid alarm information of SCADA system. The analysis work is trivial and at present the work is mainly by artificially to complete. This paper studies the grid alarm information automatic analysis method, and developed a data maintenance tool to parse grid alarm information. This paper studies a set of analytical rules on automatic extract and analysis protected alarm information, has realized the functions of automatic extract, analysis protection information and the function of automatic analysis switch act logic by programming. In order to guarantee the high correct rate of extraction and analytical, the software has a automatic combined with manual analytical method.The work of grid alarm information analytical mainly includes three parts:(1) Extracting protection alarm information from alarm information. Grid alarm information contains many kinds of information, such as the information about protection, atresia, reset and alarm, in which only the protected information is needed by fault diagnosis system. So, it is essential to extract the protected information from all of the information.(2) Analysis protective information and get its protective properties. Protective properties contain attribute of remote signal, attribute of protection, protection type, protected time limit, protected equipment and so on. Protective properties can obtain by the method of searching protection attribute keywords, network topology analysis and logic analysis.(3) Analysis the switch act logic of protective information. There are two methods to complete the work:searching action switch directly or searching action switch using protection equipment.Finally, the software is tested using the grid data of Dingxi area in Gansu. The analytical accuracy is good, the result is satisfactory.
