As power quality will seriously affect the safe and stable operation of the power systems, power quality problems are therefore getting more and more attention. The current disturbance would have a greater direct impact of the electricity load terminal, so the research of the current disturbance generating device will help us to learn the impact on the power system from the current disturbance better.For the problem of the current quality disturbance generating, this paper propose a new main circuit topology of the controllale current quality disturbance generating device, By using the different module, the device can effectively simulate various fluctuations of the current quality. In this paper, it uses the back to back H-bridge modules to constitute the high-frequency circuits and the loop cascaded low-frequency circuits, and together to complete the function of the current quality disturbance generating.We carried out the modeling and simulation for this device in PSCAD/EMTDC, Through the use of hysteresis current control for the high-frequency circuit and the carrier phase shift control for the low-frequency circuit, it presents a comprehensive multi-objective control scheme, which can simulate various current quality disturbances in the power system effectively and with high-precision, such as:harmonic current, current fluctuations, load imbalance, Power Factor, etc. Finally, by using DSP, FPGA and CPLD unit, which together constitute the entire package control core,we developed a 400V/100kVA experimental prototype. Through the VHDL programming language, this device can easily achieve a variety of control algorithms. Both hardware experimental results and simulation analysis results demonstrate demonstrate the adequacy and effectiveness of the current quality disturbance generating device.
