Earthquake is a kind of natural disaster always causes tremendous losses of life and property. Under the effect of strong earthquake, bridge may produce unseating caused by excessive seismic displacement of bearing, yielding of pier, collapsing caused by destroy of foundation, colliding between adjacent structures, etc. Once the bridge was seriously damaged in the earthquake, it will not only affect the traffic seriously, but also delay post-disaster rescue work. On the other hand, as a kind of new bridge which has strong spanning capacity and better stability, cable-stayed bridge plays a more and more important role in traffic system. Therefore, the seismic analysis of cable-stayed bridge is particularly important. This paper takes XinJiang cable-stayed bridge as example, to simulate the earthquake response analysis and seismic design of it. The XinJiang Cable-stayed Bridge in YingTan City is a concrete cable-stayed bridge with single tower and double cable plane, the main span is 150 meter long. The earthquake intensity of the site of this bridge isâ…¦.This paper presents the basic theory of seismic response analysis, and meanwhile, response spectrum analysis and time-history analysis of various structural systems and damping technology research have also been finished. The main content of this paper includes:(1)MIDAS is used to calculate the dynamic behavior of the bridge.(2)This paper uses response spectrum method to analyze seismic response of XinJiang cable-stayed bridge, and considers direction of different ground motion inputting and the problem of space combination.(3) XinJiang cable-stayed bridge is analyzed by dynamic time-history method, the results are compared with that obtained though spectrum method, and then get the final results of seismic response of this bridge.(4) This paper uses dynamic time-history method to analyze three kinds of structural systems (floating system, consolidation system and damping system). The results show that the cable-stayed bridges with different structural systems will have great diversity on seismic response, and the damping system is more suitable for bridge.(5) This paper compares and analyzes the main parameters of damper, then puts forward the matters that should be pay attention when we choose the damper.The result of this paper is useful for directing seismic response analysis of such kind bridge.
