As the development of economic globalization and world commerce, the ports play a very important role in the import and export trade. Container transportation have been becoming an important mode of transportation, as an import and export cargo handling, storage and sea-land transfer,special container terminals also get a rapid development. With the increasing of container terminal throughput, in order to improve the handling efficiency, terminal managers begin to improve the level of automation, using highly automatic assemble and unassembled equipment, including automatic guided vehicle (AGV) as advanced automatic handling equipment. Level handling system at an automatic container wharf has become a bottleneck in improving the efficiency of the terminal operation, how to arrange the driving route of AGV and schedule positive has become the problem which wharf operating managers have to solve.From the current development situation of automatic container terminals, work flow, scheduling research of loading/unloading equipment, and reading related literature at home and abroad for automatic container wharf, The article optimize AGV logistics paths, and give a reasonable effective scheduling for AGV.This paper firstly analyzes the logistics system of automatic container terminals, mainly including the development status, layout and main operation equipment, handling technology of the automatic container terminal, and also the AGV system of the container terminals is analyzed. Then it expounds two different AGV scheduling operation modes and compares the differences between them. As a key point, it presents a consideration of when loading what should be the AGV line scheduling method according to cost, and does example analysis. The example analysis indicates that this kind of scheduling method can cut AGV driving distance, and reduce shipping costs. And then put forward a kind of scheduling method to fit task allocation of AGV number at constant. In dynamic operation scheduling mode, handling simultaneously, let it a task as the container transfer in apron and container yard, establishes a model of the AGV scheduling based minimum invalid waiting time, the optimization and established model by genetic algorithm for solving the model is analyzed. Container flow at Container yard internal especially intersection is more complex, prone to crowded collision phenomenon, and analyses the fuzzy control strategy in the application of AGV traffic control at intersection. According to obfuscation and defuzzication of AGV quantity of each direction and queue length, such variables of the intersection, puts forward a design method of the fuzzy traffic controller of the intersection, this method can guide AGV chronological order in driving into the intersection at the same time and can ease the phenomenon of traffic congestion and jam.
