In the initial stage of ship design, we must first analyse and demonstrate the main elements of the ship, to draw the main elements program of the ship which is good for the ship technology form.However, during the initial demonstration stage, we usually only know the design of the ship's mission statement, a lot of parameters and indicators are not yet clear, accurate,so it has great difficulties to get the main elements of ships.Moreover, the traditional process of technical and economic arguments exist problems as:backward technology, low efficiency, long cycle calculation, results with large deviation and so on.Development of computer networks, having create new challenges and opportunities in research across all industries, the development of shipbuilding industry of information technology made further demands on intelligent design of the ship.This paper launched a "SQL-based ship main elements determining method and its application", is carried out to solve the above problems, the study has important significance and value.This research carried out in the following sections:The first part of the research is to achieve the main scale intelligent design module. It introduced ship design and consultation self-service system's basic architecture and service process, analyzed the workflow and function of the module.The second part of the research is to gather a lot of detail and accurate information of the mother-boat, and set up the database structure of the information of ships, in order to achieve the system calls and memory.The third part of the research is to achieve SQL-based prediction of the main elements of the ship.This module apply Matlab as a computational engine to assure the accuracy of calculation, use non-linear quadratic regression analysis method to predict the model of scales on the type of ship, and use technical and statistical formula of economic indicators based on the same type of ships to estimate its preliminary indicators.The fourth part of the research is preliminarily established the main scale optimization model, and used Matlab Optimization Toolbox fmincon function optimized the nonlinear constrained model,the preliminary design of the local optimal solution obtained.The fifth part of the content is successfully resolved the mixing program with Matlab,SQL databases, and C # and resolved distributed computing problems,got accurate results, and made up the application deficiencies of stand-alone computing software in the enterprise distributed systems at the same time.In addition, Selected Windows XP as the development platform, ASP.NET as the front-end web page development software, IIS5.1 as a background server, SQL Server 2005 as a background database management system, and applicated C# programming language to complete a visual interface design, built the web-based B/S mode dynamic web system, and finally, used ASP.NET to implementation of the SQL database's web management and application.Finally, the paper,with the real ship as an example, verified the practicality of the system and completed the dynamic web page publishing.
