With the rapid development of economy and society, the demand for energy is more andmore urgent, especially in the field of architectural air conditioning where increased energyconsumption is remarkable. In addition, the requirements to room humidity control areincreasingly high. Thus, hollow fiber liquid dehumidifier has a broad prospect as an efficientdehumidification method.At present, for the air and liquid desiccant contact directly in the dehumidifier andregenerator, the air treated by liquid dehumidifier usually mix with desiccant solution whichdestroys furniture and endangers people's health. Hollow fiber membrane liquiddehumidification method which uses a layer membrane which separates air and desiccant canfundamentally solve desiccant solution leak problem, but the research on hollow fibermembrane dehumidifier is only in theory and test stage. In this study, a hollow fibermembrane dehumidifier which can process dry air 200m3/h is designed, and tested on a heatpump driven hollow fiber membrane liquid dehumidification system test bench. In this paper,the major work includes the following aspects:(1) A mathematical model of heat and mass transfer in hollow fiber membrane module isestablished, and two hollow fiber membrane modules are designed to process dry air withflow rate of 200m 3 /h. Using the steadystatemodel which based on internal wet balance of thehollow fiber membrane liquid desiccant system and moisture transfer model in the hollowfiber membrane, regeneration temperature, heat load and cooling load of the system iscalculated, and which varies with dehumidifier inlet solution status on is simulated.(2) According to the hollow fiber membrane dehumidification system load, a hollowfiber membrane liquid dehumidification system test bench is designed driven by the heatpump. The water debugging experiments is carried out in the heat pump system of theexperiment platform. The operational law of the work substance in heat pump is analyzed.The disadvantages of the system are point out and improvement plan is put forward.(3) An experimental research is carried out to study the hollow fiber membranedehumidification system at standard work condition and conditions of various environmentaltemperature or humidity. The results show that: at the air flow rate of 200m 3 /h in thedehumidifying and regeneration side, the dehumidifying capacity of the system can reach to1.90kg/h while the dehumidification COP arrives at 0.58. The dehumidifying capacity,refrigerating capacity and dehumidifying COP increase with the air flow rate and temperatureand humidity of the dehumidifier side? the wet exchange efficiency of the regenerator and dehumidifier decreases with the increase of the air flow rate, but is not sensible to air inlettemperature and humidity.
