With the development of modern transportation, early damage of asphalt pavement is very common, it seriously affects the service life of pavement. In addition to pavement design is unreasonable, there are gaps between pavement structure, materials, design and construction,in the traditional asphalt pavement process of implementation. Especiallyit can't achieve integration control and management in road design and construction materials, and it does not fully reflect the use of performance-based materials design in construction. Therefore, there is a great significance of making integration research on life-cycle design and construction of asphalt pavement materials on reducing the asphalt pavement disease and improving the quality.Inorder to reduce the gap between expressway pavement design and construction, this paper structe the research ideas on integration of design and construction based on road PCIo. According to the meaning of PCIo, it analyzed the definition and affect factors of PCIo and the relationship between the metiaral design and construction integration.Relying on Xi'an-Tong'chuan highway projects, based on pavement layers of digital division, respectively it put forward the metiaral and construction intergretion study that based on low temperature performance of upper layer, the high temperature properties of surface layer, fatigue performance of the following layer and mechanical properties of semi-rigid basement. It established and proposed the assessment level of material design and construction integration on every layer.On the process of material design and construction intergretion on each layer, it established the evaluation methods of PCIo based on pavement performance.At the same time it proposed the construction technology that can meet the requirements of each layer.Based on factor analysis of PCIo, using the weighted theory to fix the PCI0,it proposed the individual points list of Xi'an-Tong'chuan Expressway based on PCIo, and it evaluated the matiaral design and constructiong integration of every layer in Xi'an-Tong'chuan Expressway.
