Hydraulic excavator occupies an important position in national economic construction, which is widely used in industrial and civil construction,transportation,hydraulic and electric engineering and so on.Though our homemade hydraulic excavator can carry on high-powered and high sensitivity assignments, its energy utilization ratio is less than 15%, causing the huge waste of energy.Meanwhile, world wide energy crisis make energy conservation a topic of industrial development, so the study of energy control technology on hydraulic excavator has very important practical significance.Firstly,the paper introduces energy-saving technologies on hydraulic excavator at home and abroad, explores research directions and development trends of energy-saving technology on hydraulic excavator.Secondly,the paper analyses the various existing energy losses of hydraulic excavator,besides the inevitable losses the main energy losses appeare in the power matching between engine and pump as well as pressure causing flux losses arose by matching between hydraulic system and load.The energy-saving control scheme that the power of the engine,the variable pump and the load coordinates and matches between each other is proposed through analysing energy-saving technologies.Based on the working characteristic of hydraulic excavator, the paper studies the dynamic system comprehensively which is constituted of diesel engine,variable pump and load, uses the system pressure and diesel engine speed to realize the match between diesel engine and hydraulic pump and control the position of diesel engine's accelerator.Because of various load, complex working conditions, high level non-linear and heavy lags and other factors, the paper designs fuzzy controller to control pump's flow and Fuzzy-PID accelerator controller based on fuzzy control theory.To validate the feasibility and the effect of the fuzzy control system,the paper uses matlab/simulink to do the simulink experiment according to the established mathematical model and the transfer functiones.The simulink result indicates that the fuzzy energy-saving control system for the speed stability control of diesel engine and throttle position control is effective. At the same time,the control strategy proposed in the paper is tested by the excavator energy-saving control test data,the energy-saving effect is remarkable with the average energy-saving rat above 8.5%.
