Jinzhong Residential Houses And The New Regionalism Interior Design

Nowadays, urban construction is massively undergone, and a lot of residential houses are damaged, which led to the gradual loss of many parts of the house culture. How to protect residential areas and cultural heritage of these areas has become increasingly important and urgent. Perhaps we can not keep dwelling houses, but we can continue to apply to their house culture to modern interior design. Whenever we talk of the traditional housing, we could think of a lot of interior design elements and symbols. As china is quite large, it is difficult to define its specific style. This results in a lot of shallow design which could not reach certain height and this is not conducive to local traditional cultural heritage and development either. In fact, traditional Chinese culture lie in each part and traditional Chinese culture is at the same time a synthesis of all the parts. This paper aims at finding a suitable design method for each means of local-style design, on the basis of the design principle of the new localism, local traditional houses with the characteristics of Jinzhong. No matter what the future local characteristics are encountered in the design, designers can rationally grasp the essence of design for the traditional cultural heritage houses.In this paper, I adopted literature research, comparative analysis, inductive analysis, field visits, and case studies. I first studied the Chinese traditional houses in the most representative Jinzhong residential houses featuring artistic features of the generation, and then I analyzed its structure, wood materials, processes, and mapping of the dominant and recessive in-depth, finally, I proposed a new design concept of localism. My purpose is to study the design of the new localism principles and tools, to research on the design of the new localism means inheriting the culture of the local residential houses, and to find out the general rules of the new localism. Finally, I am aiming at applying the local cultural practices to each of the modern interior design. At last, by careful analysis of actual cases and principles of its design tools, this paper illustrates the interior design of new localism and cultural protection in the design of traditional houses Feasibility.
