| With improving integration and power of the chip and miniaturization of product, more and more heat is produced when electronic products are at work. So cooling problem of electronic devices becomes more prominent. At present, mature technology for electronic cooling include nature cooling, forced air cooling, liquid cooling, phase change cooling, heat pipe and so on. Influenced by external dimensions, processing cost and coolant leak, cooling fin is one of the most economical and effective heat dissipation mode.Basic manufacturing technology now include extrusion, welding, casting and so on. Fin made by extrusion cannot be intensive because of die strength, actual heat transfer area with the air is limited. Fin made by welding can be intensive, but its process is complex and there is thermal contact resistance between the fin and baseplate heat sink. Casting heat sink can be made in very complex shapes that meet the requirements of aerodynamics, but its manufacturing cost is very high. As a result of the problems in the application and production of heat sink, integral cooling fin processing method based on backing-off cutting was proposed by Japanese experts. Compared with the heat sink mentioned above, it has the advantage of easy processing, low equipment costs, high fin density and low thermal contact resistance.According to machining principle of integral cooling fin, firstly, an experimental platform for integral cooling fin is designed and manufactured on the basis of shaping machine and related experimental is done. The relationship between cutting speed, cutting angle, back cutting depth and processing quality of heat sink are studied. And change law of cutting force under different process parameters is summarized, which lay the foundation for the design of process machine.A special machine tool for integral cooling fin is designed on the basis of experimental results and processing characteristic. It has high rigidity by using closed tool carrier structure. Tool slope angle and height can be adjusted easily. Screw-nut pairs driven by stepper motor is adopt in feed system, which can improve feed accuracy greatly. The machine tool is controlled by PLC, the functions of fast forward, fast backward and different working feed can be realized. It can monitor the machining process of heat sink, cutting off the workpiece automatically when processing is completed. |
