Car engine coolant is a vehicle fuel, a car running a basic consumables. The protection of the coolant plays an important role in the normal operation of vehicles, their own should have high boiling point, low freezing point and high flash point characteristics. Glycol-based coolant is widely used as a coolant, with the increasing number of cars, the consumption of ethylene glycol increases year by year, and ethylene glycol-based coolant wastes directly discharged into the environment, resulting in serious environmental pollution. At present, China's market is not standard coolant, coolant product quality is also uneven. The coolant specifications, understand and study the performance, to improve the quality of the coolant to develop a reasonable replacement cycle has a very important significance.This paper analyzes the domestic and foreign automobile engine coolant Research and Development, summed up the coolant norms, and a variety of specifications are analyzed and compared. Based on these, this paper selects the FAW Mazda 6 Coolant for study, collecting vehicle different mileage cooling fluid samples do density, freezing point, boiling point and reserve alkalinity tests. Summarized by a large number of experimental data obtained during the regularity of the operation of the coolant degradation and obtained changes of the coolant and coolant changes of the corresponding relationship between the characteristic index.This paper also proposes the use of advanced liquid chromatography to monitor the coolant. Recycling of the coolant carries out a feasibility analysis and describes some recycling methods.
