China Agricultural Water Supply Space-time Structure

As we all know, the Earth's water resources for human's production and life are indispensable, especially in agriculture, and it is so useful for agriculture. In China, because of the large population base and slow economic development, agriculture became the survival and development of material security for people to rely on, therefore, agriculture has been given special status and siganificance.Although the total water resources of China are large, but the resources per capita are little, it is not in harmony for population and the distribution of arable land, the spatial distribution is very uneven; water resources between year and annual variations are large, in short, the supply and distribution problems of China's water resources are becoming more and more prominent. The supply and distribution of water resources are relation to agriculture production, food supply and people's livelihood, so, study pf agrculture water rupply issues is related areas not only for the theoretical significance, but also as a important practical significance for China's agriculture production and economic development. This article, using the theory of water resources as a theoretical basis, using the relevant method in the analysis, based on research at home and abroad, to the perspective of supply point of view, have a qualitative and quantitative analysis on the temporal and spatial distribution of China's agricultural water resources, and summarize the temporal and spatial distribution of agricultural water resources and characteristics, and propose the future research and development prospects.This paper consists six parts.The first part is an introduction. It is the basis of the research, which introduces the research background, significance, related research at home and abroad, and proposed research methods and technical routes.The second part is the theoretical basis. That part is theoretical support of the analysis and research, including water theory, the water cycle theory, theory of agriculture zoning, agriculture water theory, the water balance of theory and principles of water resources and evaluation methods, prepare for time and space of the characteristics below.The third part is an overview of the study area and objects. This part limites the area in which object and scope have been investigated, discuss respectively from the study area, China's agriculture, water resources and their distribution in China and other aspects.The fourth part is space-time supply pattern of China's agricultural water recources. This section which is the core part, obtains the information data from the relevant maps and satistical communique of the nine river basin water resources, using the relevant formula, obtains the amount of agriculture water resource of each basin and gives preliminary analysis on the results.The fifth part is the conclusion. Through preliminary analysis of the results, it summarize time and space charateristics of China's agriculture water supply, briefly description of innovation of this paper, as well as future prospects in this field.
