Recently, Flying-Swallow Tied Arch Bridge, as one type of half-through arch bridge, has been widely built in China due to its beautiful shape. Most of them are long-span arch bridges. At present, there is no clear description about anti-seismic design of long-span arch bridge in Chinese Code. In view of its complexity in anti-seismic design, many scholars have done important researches on the aspect of seismic performance of Flying-Swallow Tied Arch Bridge. Aiming to the seismic performance of Flying-Swallow Tied Arch Bridge, the following several aspects are studied in the paper:1. Introduce the history of arch bridge and the latest developments of Flying-Swallow Tied Arch Bridge in China. Sum up the anti-seismic research achievements of long-span arch bridge at home and abroad to provide theoretical basis for the paper.2. Taking River City Bridge in Jilin as an example, a finite element model is established for dynamic performance analysis by general finite element software Midas-Civil. Natural vibration characteristics of Flying-Swallow Tied Arch Bridge are calculated as a basis for further dynamic calculation.3. On the basis of natural frequency analysis of River City Bridge, a dynamic time history analysis of the bridge is performed. Firstly, choose appropriate seismic waves according to the geological data provided by the owner and local earthquake occurrence information. Then perform the dynamic response analysis of this bridge under different loading cases. Dynamic responses of this bridge under longitudinal and transverse seismic waves are studied respectively, and the influence of vertical seismic wave is also considered.4. With respect to the comparative calculations of several loading cases, draw some conclusions on the necessity of using viscous dampers and the location of viscous dampers in order to acquire best anti-seismic performance. Then perform parameter optimization analysis of viscous dampers and try to gain some useful parameters suitable for this bridge. |
