The absorption refrigeration system driven by exhausted gas waste heat from engine can get the required cooling capacity, which not only reduce the fuel consumption of vehicle, improve the power obviously, but also reduce the harmful gas emissions, protect environment effectively.R124/DMAC (2-chloro-1,1,1,2,-tetrafluoroethane/N,N-dime-thylacetamide) is used as the working pairs in the refrigeration cycle, and the procedures of the properties calculation is prepared. Take air conditioning bus for example, the air-conditioning load is 30kW, with the method of theoretical calculations and experience estimation separately. The characteristics of single-effect absorption refrigeration cycle with the working fluid of R124/DMAC are simulated, and the variation of refrigeration cycle with the deflated range, condenser temperature and generator temperature is presented.Automobile engine exhausted gas waste heat is closely related with the driving state, but the car cooling load is unrelated. The hybrid refrigeration cycle driven by exhausted gas waste heat and power from the car engine is presented, to meet the cooling load in any driving condition of automotive. Thermal parameters of the cycle points are calculated in setting conditions. When the engine output changed, the parameters of exhaust heat also change, in particular, the change of flow and temperature affect the heat transfer of solution and gas in generator, the performance of cycle in varied conditions is obtained, through changing the deflated range with solution pump flow constant. In terms of the bus, which employed with hybrid refrigeration cycle, we can conclude that, at high output power, refrigeration system driven by waste heat can meet the cooling load demand; at medium output power, it is needed for compression refrigeration system driven by power to provide additional cooling load; at low output power, the cooling load is provided mainly by compression refrigeration system. After calculation, it can be seen that, the effects of energy-saving were remarkably for the air-conditioning bus running on the highway.
