Because of its advantage including little steel usage, beautiful shape, construction fast, light quality, low cost, etc, at present the light gauge portal frames widely used in single or multi-layered industrial workshop. In recent years the portal frame study more and more, including structural stability, seismic performance, structure optimization which included by the frame span, height of column and other factors, but less research about roof slope. "The portal frames of light gauge housing steel structure technical specification" (CECS 102:2002) 4.1.5 provide that the roof slope of the portal frames of light gauge housing should be 1/8~1/20. But for the needs of the building's elevation and the roof drainage, a lot of actual project often design the roof slope beyond standard limits. Roofing slope is larger, the axial force within inclined beam is greater, and the constraint for steel columns is bigger, so the slope influence for the frames'stability and seismic performance can not be neglected. Therefore, this paper started from the slope,study the static and stability analysis of the different slope frames, and conclude the influence on the slope to frames, and puts forward the main design points of the large slope frame, so as to provides the basis for the actual engineering design. The main research contents of this paper listed below.1. Research in the static load combination different slope single portal frames' mechanical properties, including internal force and displacement and deformation, etc. Then selected the slope 1/12,12/12 frame, it respectively discuss the frame mechanical performance influence on the connection of column feet and the depth-span ratio, and finally concluded the suitable column feet connection form and depth-span ratio for large slope frame.2. Use SAP2000 respectively to linear buckling and nonlinear bulking of single frame, research different slope portal frame's stability, buckling load and destroying forms. Among them, the linear buckling analysis choose different slope frame, nonlinear buckling analysis choose gradient 1/12,12/12 of the frame.3. Use SAP2000 to frame's dynamic time-history analysis, research different slope frame of displacement and acceleration time-history analysis at the top of column and the ridge. This paper also choose the slope as 1/12,12/12 of the frame, and compare the earthquake response in the different seismic condition, analysis the large slope frame's displacement and acceleration time-history, the frame's side move quantity and acceleration amplification coefficient, etc.
