Hybrid polymer solar cells attracted more and more attentions among scholars based on its simple synthesis and low cost, as well as due to a combination of organic and inorganic semiconductor nanoparticles of their own characteristics and synergy.In this article,ZnO nanorod and ZnO nanotetrapods were introduced as an electron acceptor to bulk heterojunction, for increasing exciton separation and electronic transfer and effective collection. And through the regulation of active layer to improve the spectral response, prepare photovoltaic cells of high energy conversion rate, and reduce production costs. Major work includes the following content:â… .First, preparation and characterization of ZnO nano-material. ZnO nano thin films were prepared as seed layer, and on this basis, zinc oxide nanorods had been successfully prepared by hydrothermal synthesis. zinc oxide nanotetrapods by a novel microemulsion-based hydrothermal method. ZnO nano-materials was characterized by XRD, SEM and other instruments. The optimal parameters in preparation process was obtained.â…¡. Followed by UV-visible absorption spectra measurements.The absorption spectrum of different ZnO nano-materials and ZnO nanocrystalline/conjugate polymer composites film were compared,as a key factor to study the device performance.â…¢. Finally,preparation of device, as well as i-v curve measurement and efficiency analysis. Four kinds of the devices with different structure were fabricated, the photovoltaic performance of MEH-PPV:ZnO solar cell with MEH-PPV:PCBM cell were compared. It is also observed that efficiency of MEH-PPV:ZnO solar cells are relatively low in the experiment, then analysis its causes to explore the direction for improvement.
