A general traveler's expectation for high-speed railway is higher than that for the existing line. This expectation is reflected not only in the speed of train, but also in train punctuality rate. Intelligent and efficient train operation adjustment has great practical significance to increase the punctuality rate of high-speed railway train in China.First of all, this thesis summarizes the existing train operation adjustment methods, and studies the application of Multi-agent System (MAS) on train operation adjustment problem. In accordance with the architecture of Train Dispatch and Control System in China, a new train operation adjustment method based on consensus of MAS is proposed. In this method, autonomous controller (AC) is regarded as Agent, all relevant entities and processes out of AC are regarded as environment of this type of Agent. The architecture of MAS corresponding to Train Dispatch and Control System is established, besides, the target and adjustment process of train operation adjustment is translated into the consensus adjustment of AC Agents. All AC agents are united and the global communication, realized by interaction of neighbor agents, ensures the constant adjustment for train operation. Then, this thesis designs a simulation software of train operation adjustment based on AC Agent using mixed Federal architecture of MAS. This software can simulate independently in off-line mode and also can participate in co-simulation of CTCS-3 Train Control System on simulation and testing platform in on-line mode. Finally, field data of Wuhan-Guangzhou railway is used in testing the simulation software and the method proposed. The simulation software and the train operation adjustment method are illustrated to be available in aspects of the cumulative time and the number of trains delayed.
