Based on the requirements of Beijing Jiaotong University electric drive test system, this paper designs DC/DC converter which can achieve bidirectional energy flow. It can feed back the energy of generator to inverter input side when simulating train traction conditions in motor platform, while achieve bidirectional energy flow when simulating train braking condition, saving electric energy consumption of laboratory.Circuit topology as well as advantages and disadvantages of different DC/DC converters are analyzed according to DC/DC functions to be realized. On the basis of finishing experiments needed to realize motor platform, considering finished produce volume, Buck-Boost DC converter is chosen as main circuit topology. Depending on rated voltage, current and power requirements of DC/DC converter, parameters of main circuit are designed and the system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink environment.Taking Freescale MC9S12D64 as control-core, using C language program, the entire solution of DC/DC converter hardware and software design is presented, which achieves control of output voltage, current and bidirectional energy flow. Voltage loop and current loop control method is adopted, which can ensure rapid response and stability of the system through proper selection of PI regulator parameters. Moreover, power test of the whole control system is done. Finally, correctly of system parameters design and control method for DC/DC converter application is verified in 3kW DC motor experiment.
